Tory Lanez separates his rap and R&B identities across an ambitious two-disc musical comeback.

Tory Lanez is making sure fans don’t forget about him. The artist has announced Made You Think I Was Gone, a massive two-disc project scheduled for July 17 that will showcase both sides of his musical personality.

The release is split into two worlds. Fargo’s Revenge will feature 12 rap tracks, while Fargo’s Heartbreak will contain 11 R&B songs. For an artist known for moving between aggressive bars and emotional melodies, the format actually makes plenty of sense.

The announcement comes while Tory is currently incarcerated following his conviction in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. Despite his legal situation, Tory has continued releasing music, including projects like LOL: Slutty Bass and Peterson.

The early tracklist reveals titles such as “SGA” and “Jalen Brunson,” suggesting Tory has been paying attention to the basketball world while putting this project together. However, it’s still unclear whether the album will feature entirely new material, previously unreleased songs, or a combination of both.

The biggest question is whether Tory can deliver another complete body of work from behind bars. Based on his history, betting against his creativity probably isn’t wise.
