Hopefully, she leaves a few cars untouched before September.
Tinashe is wasting absolutely no time building momentum for her next chapter. The singer has officially announced that her eighth studio album, POPSTAR, will arrive on September 25, marking what many will view as her first major album rollout under Atlantic Records.
Leading the campaign is “CRASH OUT,” a confident, high-energy single that gives fans a glimpse of where she’s headed creatively. The album will feature 16 tracks, doubling the length of her previous effort and signaling a much more ambitious release.
The timing couldn’t be better. Tinashe’s last album, Quantum Baby, was a brief eight-song project that still made serious noise thanks to the viral smash “Nasty.” The project also featured “No Broke Boys,” which became the biggest hit of her career, further proving that Tinashe had completely reestablished herself as a force in pop and R&B.
Adding even more buzz, the announcement arrives shortly after footage of Tinashe smashing a car spread across social media, leaving fans wondering whether it was a tease for this new era.
Personally, I think she’s entering this album with more momentum than she’s had in years. Now she just has to deliver.
