If you’ve heard one Dave Blunts project, you already have a pretty good idea of what I’ll Believe It When I See It sounds like. The rapper continues embracing controversy, immature humor, and emotionally charged melodic rap without making many noticeable adjustments to his formula.
Across the album’s 12 tracks, Blunts sticks to the blueprint that made him famous. His lyrics revolve around relationship drama, trash-talking rivals, and reckless confidence, while his melodic delivery continues to mirror the Juice WRLD-inspired style that listeners immediately recognize. There are moments where the production injects life into the project, but the subject matter quickly becomes repetitive, making the experience feel more familiar than exciting.
Following his split from Ye and a string of public feuds, many expected some kind of evolution. Instead, Blunts doubles down on everything that already defines him. For better or worse, this is exactly the artist fans have come to know.
