Flo Milli has one with “Hot As A Bic.” The Alabama rapper returns with a single that plays directly to her strengths, delivering the kind of bold performance that has made her one of rap’s most entertaining personalities.
Powered by a bass-heavy instrumental with almost GameBoy-like sound effects, the production immediately grabs your attention and gives Flo plenty of room to talk her s**t.
Throughout the track, Flo calls out her opps, brushes off critics with ease, warns rivals not to play with her name, and backs up every line with playful punchlines and a commanding delivery. I’m not sure she intended for this track to be a diss record, but it definitely feels like it’s one.
One of the biggest highlights is the chorus, which is catchy as hell and instantly memorable. Flo also toys with a tricky flow throughout the record, proving she’s more versatile than mere mortals give her credit for. As someone who hasn’t listened to enough tracks from here, this one definitely impressed me.
