This is pure craziness.

Getting new Playboi Carti, in any form, these days is a luxury. He simply doesn’t make music as much as he used to, so when he appears, people immediately flock to hear what he has to say. Recently, the world was treated to a brand-new Carti remix of L5’s “Been On,” and it delivers the type of chaotic energy fans expect from both artists.

The track is driven by this dark, overpowering instrumental that made me imagine burning houses and broken video games. Playboi Carti comes through with his signature Future-like sound, using his lower register to bring some unexpected control to the madness.

As for L5, he absolutely crashes out. The rising Atlanta MC uses an untamed rap style to deliver a performance full of aggression and intensity. In some ways, he actually steals the spotlight by matching the beat’s energy better than anyone.

I don’t think “Been On” is as bad as some people will say, but I completely understand why it might give certain listeners ear damage. Check out the track below.
