The amount of star power at the FIFA World Cup final in New Jersey was unbelievable. Not only was President Trump in attendance, but the event also drew an incredible lineup of celebrities, including Drake, JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, Future, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, Shakira (who somehow always seems to get the call whenever there’s a major international event), Mick Jagger, and countless others. It’s hard to remember another event that packed this much celebrity influence into one venue.
What made it even more fascinating was seeing who was hanging out with whom. Drake rolled with his usual crew, including Sexyy Red and Chubbs, while Future, who has reportedly rekindled his friendship with Drake, was spotted spending time with Pharrell and A$AP Rocky, two artists who have had well-documented tensions with him. Coordinating an event with that many high-profile personalities, overlapping circles, and complicated relationships must have been a logistical masterpiece.
Monday. Doja Cat & Latto Turn Up the Heat With Spicy “Okayyy” Visuals
Latto and Doja Cat decided to drop the visuals for “Okayyy,” a collaboration that appeared on Latto’s most recent album, Big Mama. What we saw in the video was NSFW. While it’s amazing how Latto bounced back after her pregnancy, can we applaud Doja Cat? Every once in a while, she does something like this video to remind everyone that she’s top 5. Top 5 in what? Whatever you want her to be in. Top 5.
Tuesday. 50 Cent Trolls Rick Ross Over ‘Set In Stone’ Album Sales

The 50 Cent and Rick Ross feud is approaching its 20-year anniversary. Yes, these two have been taking shots at each other for nearly two decades, constantly celebrating each other’s setbacks and hoping for the other’s downfall. Somehow, the rivalry never seems to lose steam.
In the latest chapter, 50 Cent took aim at Rick Ross by ruthlessly clowning the low first-week sales of his new album, Set In Stone. Personally, I’m one of those people who doesn’t think album sales matter much to Rick Ross at this stage of his career. That said, if he had really sold the 2,000 copies that 50 joked about, it would’ve been an absolute disaster.
Thankfully for Ross, the album actually moved closer to 17,000 units in its opening week. Still, that didn’t stop 50 from turning the numbers into ammunition. Cold? Absolutely. Unexpected? Not even a little.
Wednesday: Pharrell Tells DJ Drama He Wants a Gangsta Grillz Project From JAY-Z

Do you know what I love? It feels like Pharrell has fully reintegrated himself into the hip-hop world. Not only is he helping rejuvenate Lil Baby’s career, but he’s also become heavily involved in what could end up being the biggest rap feud of all time between JAY-Z and Drake. He’s definitely far removed from his “Happy” days.
Anyhow, Pharrell recently sat down with DJ Drama and said one of the artists he’d love to see release a Gangsta Grillz project is JAY-Z. I’m usually pretty good at recognizing casual conversation, but there’s something about this comment that makes it feel like it could mean more. Could JAY-Z’s next album actually be a Gangsta Grillz project? Hmm. Do you realize how fire that would be?

3?? Search warrant tied to ongoing 2021 case
2?? Came hours before his VERZUZ vs The Game
1?? He is still expected to perform tonightpic.twitter.com/6OpLhQ9x5F
Look, it was an eventful Thursday for YG. Earlier in the day, he was detained by SWAT in connection with the murder of Drakeo the Ruler. We’ll have to see how that situation unfolds. That all happened just hours before his VERZUZ battle with The Game, which he somehow won in a landslide. As if that wasn’t enough, the two also released a new single together called “Red People.”
The only person who may have had a more eventful Thursday was probably President Trump. At this point, all we can do is wait and see how everything plays out. But man, this is probably a bigger than people realize.

3?? 50 confirmed zero AI was used
2?? Marks massive 3-way rap legend crossover
1?? Film hits theaters Oct 16 with 50 as Balrog
Are you ready?…
One of 50 Cent’s best tracks ever is “The Realest N***as” with The Notorious B.I.G. and Eminem. (Yes, people really let Eminem appear on a track with that title. The 2000s were a different time, bro.) Even though posthumous releases can sometimes feel awkward or forced, that record came together incredibly well, sounding smoother than Dillon Brooks’ new haircut.
Because of that, I’m confident that the new posthumous Eminem collaboration appearing on this soundtrack will be solid. Whether it can reach the level of “The Realest N***as” is another story. One thing’s for sure: I highly doubt Eminem will be getting away with another title like that one.
Saturday: Tyla Lights Up the WNBA All-Star Game With Electrifying Performance

Tyla has always struck me as someone who was born at the wrong time. I’m fully convinced that if she had been born 20 years earlier, she would be a superstar. To me, she’s on that Rihanna and Beyoncé level, and her performance at the All-Star Game proved it. The songs were hella lit, the charm and charisma were there, she was dancing, and she looked incredible. Tyla has the whole package, and this performance was yet another example of that.
