Don Toliver Officially Kicks Off the “NITROUS” Rollout on Instagram

Don Toliver is wasting no time launching the next chapter of his remarkable run.

Don Toliver might be trying to own 2026 completely.

The Houston artist has officially started teasing NITROUS, posting “Here we go… no better time than now” while renaming his Instagram alternate account from “octanemountain” to “activate_nitrous.” That’s about as clear a rollout announcement as you’re going to get.

The timing is interesting because OCTANE still feels fresh. Since dropping earlier this year, the album has been one of rap’s biggest success stories, generating strong sales, huge streaming numbers, plenty of industry co-signs, and an even bigger fanbase. Right now, Drake probably sits at the top of my Rapper of the Year list thanks to ICEMAN, but Don Toliver is making a serious push for that second spot. If NITROUS becomes another chart-topper, he’ll have one heck of a case.

Even better, this announcement lands on the eighth anniversary of Donny Womack, the mixtape that introduced the world to Don’s hypnotic style. Released just one day before his scene-stealing appearance on Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD, the project featured highlights like “Backend” and marked the beginning of one of rap’s most unique careers.

Can Don Toliver really go back-to-back with two No. 1 albums in the same year? Considering the run he’s on, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised.
