Cardi B Breaks Record With Four Diamond Songs, Including “WAP” Featuring Megan Thee Stallion

There’s Cardi B, then there’s everyone else.

Cardi B just added another historic accomplishment to her résumé. The rapper has officially become the female rapper with the most Diamond-certified songs in RIAA history, with four total. Her latest achievement comes from “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, which has officially crossed the 10 million units mark and earned its Diamond certification. Even crazier, according to Chart Data, “WAP” is now the first collaboration between two female rappers in history to earn Diamond status, while also becoming Megan Thee Stallion’s very first Diamond single.

Cardi has shown that if the music connects, there’s no topic too outrageous for people to embrace. The Rated-R “WAP” became a full-blown cultural phenomenon, but it’s just one piece of her incredible run. “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It,” and her feature on Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” have all reached Diamond status as well. Meanwhile, this milestone gives Megan Thee Stallion another massive career achievement, adding an iconic plaque to an already impressive catalog.

The wild part? Cardi isn’t even finished adding to her legacy. With “AH HA” already making noise, she’s entering another era. At this point, female rap is Cardi’s playground, and everyone else is trying to catch up.
