According to the rapper, the technology wasn’t used during the recording process itself, but it was still part of the song’s creation. His response was simple: AI is just another tool, and artists either adapt or get left behind.

I’ll be honest, this wasn’t exactly a shocking revelation to me. I don’t mean to discriminate (or “Discriminze,” as Quavo once famously said), but when I first heard “RUBBERZ,” I had a hard time believing that the vintage, almost Geico-commercial-style vocals belonged to Fenix Flexin. They sounded so different from what I expected that something felt off from the jump.

What’s funny is that this news arrives during the same week Tyga admitted he used AI while making $TARFACE. The difference is that Fenix’s situation felt a lot easier to spot. The vocals immediately raised eyebrows, and now fans know there was a reason for that. Producer Medasin, who previously suggested AI was involved, can officially chalk this one up as another correct prediction.

Whether people embrace AI in music or completely reject it, one thing is becoming clear: people are getting increasingly comfortable admitting to using it. I’m not sure that’s a good or bad sign.
