NBA YoungBoy is putting music aside to focus on his health and finding himself.
NBA YoungBoy is opening up about why he’s stepping back from music, and this time, it’s for a serious reason.
During a recent interview with Funny Marco, YoungBoy was asked about new music and gave an answer that caught our attention. He explained that he’s currently focused on his health after doctors told him that the left side of his heart is swollen. It’s obviously a scary situation, and hearing him speak about it makes his recent absence from music make a lot more sense.
The interview also got emotional when YoungBoy was asked who the real Kentrell is. While he didn’t go into a ton of detail, his response made it clear that he’s been dealing with some things that have genuinely affected him.
One thing about NBA YoungBoy is that his work ethic has always been crazy. Even after releasing two projects this year, ML2 and Slime Cry, that feels like a pretty light stretch for someone who was once dropping songs and videos at an almost ridiculous pace. The good news is that we’ve still seen plenty of content from him on social media, keeping him in the conversation lately.
Honestly, I think stepping back is probably the right move. Music will always be there, but health comes first. Hopefully, YoungBoy takes the time he needs and gets himself right before worrying about dropping another song.
