Eyezic’s “NEEDU2NEEDME” has infectious energy.
With only two lines, “Baby, won’t you put me first? / Need you to need me,” Eyezic still manages to make this track very memorable. With layered production, interesting vocal effects, and a strong beat, I can definitely imagine this song being a great listen at the club.
Something I like about it is how the upbeat and danceable production contrasts with the longing in the lyrics. It’s easy to ignore that and just dance with this kind of music, but that feels like part of it: the speaker is dancing through the yearning for the same connection he feels.
My favorite part is the instrumental break in the middle. This is where Eyezic’s creativity really shines. The distorted synths and booming bass create an interesting blend of sounds that pan in various directions, making for a complex listening experience. At the same time, if someone just wants to dance without thinking about things like that, the excitement of the track easily allows for that, too.
Overall, this was a very fun listening experience. The song is very danceable and sonically multifaceted, a quality that I appreciate in songs that aren’t lyrically complex. You can listen to “NEEDU2NEEDME” below.
