Russ & A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Deliver a Smooth Collab With “Rider”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Russ and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie sound excellent together (Pause).

Russ is once again dropping music like clockwork, and with a new song almost every week, I’d argue music is in a better place because of it. Today, he brought A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie along for “Rider,” a smooth collaboration built around some very nostalgic production.

The beat gives me old-school West Coast vibes, specifically that 2000-2001 era. Russ takes care of the hook, delivering something melodic and passionate before switching into a verse that combines slick raps with sly melodies. He sounds completely in his element here.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie follows with a solid melodic rap verse that fits the production like a glove. He brings a vocal style that naturally complements the beat, and his appearance adds another dimension without disrupting the song’s flow. The two artists spend the track talking about wanting sexy-ass riders who aren’t going to complain about controlling the aux, question every decision, or kill the vibe.

I think the track is something slight. I’m not sure it’s making my music library, but I did enjoy it. You be the judge by pressing play below.
