AZ Chike and Tyler, The Creator Team Up on “Look Like My Mama”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

The back-and-forth between AZ Chike and Tyler, The Creator gave me those old-school vibes of Tyler going bar for bar with Earl.

I’m so high on AZ Chike right now that I probably shouldn’t drive. I just feel like he’s done everything right since getting the opportunity of a lifetime on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX. Now, all he needs is his upcoming project No Rest For The Wicked to hit harder than a drink made by a bartender who just put in her two-week notice. To get us hyped for it, he dropped his single with Tyler, The Creator called “Look Like My Mama.”

The instrumental we get in “Look Like My Mama” is some of the strangest, funkiest s**t you’ll hear today. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tyler cooked it up while sitting on the toilet. Lyrically, AZ and Tyler trade lines about having big pockets, finessing women, and staying loyal to the people who stay loyal to them.

AZ brings that undeniable Cali flair and gangsta energy, while Tyler delivers his usual cool, carefree style. Their chemistry is fantastic, and the back-and-forth reminds me of Tyler going bar for bar with Earl Sweatshirt back in the day. I’m rocking with this one heavy.
