Rob49 and Sexyy Red are cut from the same reckless cloth. One is just a man and the other is a woman. That said, as expected, they both rap like they’ve got a few screws loose on their new single “IN THE CLUB.”
“IN THE CLUB” is powered by one of those action-packed club beats that makes it sound like the world is ending while you’re getting twerked on with a drink in your hand. Rob49 and Sexyy Red match that energy, going back and forth about some reckless s**t. Sexyy talks about cheating, getting drunk, and fighting, while Rob gets into pimping and being treated like a king by his bitties.
What I appreciate is how both artists embrace the chaos with their deliveries. They throw in some absolutely wild vocal moments, and the chorus is especially unchained. It sounds like neither of them cared about keeping things remotely under control.
Real talk, though, after hearing this song, going to the club described this way doesn’t even sound fun anymore. I might just stay home and watch the chaos from a safe distance.
