5. Keep Flying

There’s something really freeing about “Keep Flying.” The track feels like taking a much-needed break from everything, kicking back, and enjoying the life you worked your ass off to create. You came from the mud, so when the good times finally roll around, why not actually enjoy them instead of worrying about what’s coming next? That’s exactly what this track captures.

4. DontWaitForMe

I really like the electronic, slightly more alternative pop sound attached to “DontWaitForMe.” As a whole, the track sounds so happy and bubbly, like the hopeful music played during movie credits. However, lyrically, it’s a bit darker than that.

Basically, Trippie is doing him. He’s been on his own, he’s going to stay on his own, and he’s perfectly fine continuing to do his own thing. So, don’t wait up. I really like the contrast between the upbeat production and the more independent, almost lonely message.

3. Trillionaire Club

In “Trillionaire Club,” the idea is pretty simple: you want to give someone special the best life money can buy. Take them out, travel with them, spend crazy amounts of money, whatever. However, none of that matters if they aren’t actually committed to you.

I like that the song is flashy and romantic, but something more vulnerable lies underneath. All that luxury means a lot less if you don’t know whether the person beside you genuinely has your back.

2. YouDontReallyLove

“YouDontReallyLove” made me want to move slow and dance on somebody. The percussion is infectious, and the R&B/hip-hop vibes balance hype with yearning.

Trippie sings with plenty of passion and intimacy, making the whole thing feel like a genuine plea. Lyrically, he wants more from someone than just affection behind closed doors. He wants their love to carry over into real life. Basically, don’t tell me you love me in private and then act like I don’t exist once we step outside.

1. Emo Pop

BTW: I was an emo kid through and through, so it was fate that I would put this track at number one. Sonically, “Emo Pop” leans more toward alternative R&B, but lyrically, it gives me that grungy, emotional nostalgia I love. It feels noticeably different from the rest of the album, coming across simpler, softer, and more stripped-back. Somehow, that works perfectly.

The lyrics are easy to pick up, and I can already see myself randomly singing parts of this one later. There’s something weirdly addictive about it, honestly.

Imma keep it a buck with you: Trippie Redd’s first NDA album dropped a couple weeks ago, and it wasn’t my favorite. Some tracks I really messed with, while others I probably wouldn’t give a second chance. #NDA, or NDA 2, was a very different experience for me.

I liked this album so much more than the first one. To me, it feels more personal, relatable, less cutthroat, and a lot more fun. Sonically, it’s vibrant, still rooted in hip-hop but bringing in indie, alternative, pop, and R&B influences throughout. I also think it shows a different range of Trippie, giving us access to sides of him that didn’t really come through on the first album. There’s more personality here, and I connected with it a lot more.

NDA 2 isn’t as star-studded or relentless as the first album, but it didn’t need to be. This one feels genuine, lighter, and more emotional. There are songs on the tracklist that really stayed with me, and honestly, I think that’s what makes this one stand out. I went into this expecting to feel pretty much the same way I did about the first NDA, and instead I walked away with several songs I actually want to run back. I can’t wait to see this one blow up.
