JISOO is the Best Artist at the Haunted Carnival on New Song “CLICK”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I don’t understand why the music video for “CLICK” by JISOO takes place in an abandoned carnival, but I’m obsessed with it anyway.

“CLICK” is a synth-pop song about wanting to be more than friends with someone, but not wanting to get hurt or sacrifice their friendship. As hard as JISOO tries to stay friends and not make it something more, she keeps messing that up anyway because they were “made to fit.”

JISOO’s singing is beautiful here. I always felt like her vocals are underutilized in BLACKPINK, and this song proves it. I love how she sounds on a quiet song like this. Her voice is so pretty, especially on the chorus. Her solo career really lets her shine.

The music video, directed by Joseph Kahn—the Grammy Award-winning director behind many Taylor Swift videos, as well as videos by Eminem, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Janet Jackson, and more—sets “CLICK” in an abandoned carnival with glitching animatronics and a haunting feel. JISOO is haunted doll-like in some shots. She does a great job being as eerie as her surroundings, which adds to how haunting the setting is.

I love this for JISOO. I’ve been a BLACKPINK fan for a long time, and I’m always happy to see the girls make great songs. If the rest of the album is this quality, then it will be a great listen, and I can’t wait.

“SaWaDiKa” is an upbeat, confident, and energetic rap-based track that is undeniably a LISA song. It has a great beat, a fun vibe, and a music video that might be her best yet, which reminds me of some of my favorite BLACKPINK videos.
