Drake’s chart-topping album reaches another major milestone during his remarkable commercial comeback.

Whatever anyone thought the Kendrick Lamar battle did to Drake’s career, the numbers are delivering a very clear response.

ICEMAN has now surpassed two million album-equivalent units in the United States, reportedly becoming eligible for double-platinum certification. It is also the highest-selling hip-hop album of 2026, proving that Drake is still scorchin’ hot in the streets.

The project arrived with 18 tracks but avoided the overcrowded guest list commonly attached to blockbuster rap albums. Only Future, Molly Santana, and 21 Savage make appearances. That leaves Drake responsible for nearly everything, including standout records such as “Janice STFU,” “National Treasures,” and “What Did I Miss?”

Even before reaching two million units, ICEMAN had already produced historic results. Drake released it alongside HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR, and the three albums debuted across the Billboard 200’s top three positions. That made him the first artist to control all three spots simultaneously under the chart’s modern tracking system.

Drake apparently is not finished, either. He has teased Fear of Missing Out for September 15, although it remains unclear whether fans should expect another album, a film, a tour announcement, or some other surprise.

Plenty of people called Drake damaged goods following his 2024 feud with Kendrick Lamar. Two years later, he has the year’s bestselling rap album and another mysterious release approaching.
