EST Gee went for it with the title of this album.

BIGGER THAN THE DEVIL clearly means something to EST Gee. The album arrived around the seventh anniversary of the Louisville rapper surviving a shooting, adding extra weight to a project centered on endurance. Fortunately, that significance does not change how he approaches the music.

Across the album’s 20 tracks, EST Gee carries himself like an untouchable figure whose street credentials remain firmly intact. He raps about enjoying the luxuries that accompany success, but no amount of money appears capable of pulling him away from the environment that shaped him. His heavily slurred delivery may initially challenge new listeners, yet his controlled flows, sharp imagery, and brutally direct storytelling eventually take center stage.

The production understands him perfectly. Dark, heavy beats establish a consistent atmosphere while leaving space for his bars to control the record. Guests including YFN Lucci, .SKRT, EST SkiMike, 86Snot, EST Spit, and EST4Nikk appear without crowding the album or distracting from Gee.

My suggestion is simple: Press play and let BIGGER THAN THE DEVIL run. It is cohesive, easy to absorb, and built for uninterrupted listening. “WAY MORE,” “CALL SPITTA,” and “SUPREME SANDERS” are my early favorites, but the whole album deserves a spin.
