Tory Lanez Announces “Not On ‘Tor’ Tour” Listening Experience

Tory Lanez is somehow launching a tour without ever leaving prison.

Tory Lanez has found an unusual way to hit the road without actually hitting the road.

The “Not On ‘Tor’ Tour” is a newly announced multi-city listening experience celebrating Lanez’s latest album, fan favorites, and the community surrounding his music. Each event will feature DJs and special guests, but Lanez himself will not appear or perform. You should definitely keep that distinction in mind before buying tickets.

The tour begins September 25 at HK Hall in New York. From there, the experience will visit Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, and Pittsburgh. Montreal and Toronto are also expected to receive special announcements later.

Organizers are calling Lanez “the first artist to tour without being on tour.” While the claim sounds like something created after an extremely long marketing meeting, it perfectly describes the concept. His music will travel from city to city while he remains completely absent from the events.

Turning a listening party into a full multi-city experience is an interesting experiment. Dedicated fans can gather in the same venue, hear records from throughout Lanez’s catalog, enjoy DJ sets, and potentially encounter surprise guests. It allows his team to maintain a physical connection with listeners despite his inability to participate personally.

Whether fans embrace the format remains to be seen, but the concept will undoubtedly inspire conversation. The “Not On ‘Tor’ Tour” is not a traditional concert, and nobody should arrive expecting one. Tickets are on sale now.
