The Dallas rapper’s fourth solo album will feature 18 tracks and arrive on October 30.

BigXthaPlug has officially announced his next album, Better Over Time, and he is presenting it like another important chapter in his life story.

The 18-track project will arrive on October 30. BigX revealed the news through a cinematic trailer that shows flashes of his upbringing and how pressure has always followed him. This probably means the album will focus a lot on growth (Then again, Future’s album was called The Real Me, and it had nothing to do with growth).

Listeners have already received the first preview through “LITE,” BigX’s collaboration with Belly Gang Kushington. Powered by soulful, bass-heavy Southern production, the single finds both rappers celebrating their success, addressing broke haters, and reflecting on everything required to escape difficult circumstances.

BigX enters this era with an increasingly diverse catalog behind him. His 2023 debut album, Amar, housed “Texas,” the booming hometown anthem that became his breakout hit. He followed that project with Take Care in 2024, balancing hard-hitting Southern rap with emotional reflections on depression, fatherhood, fame, and the complications accompanying success.

He changed direction again with 2025’s I Hope You’re Happy, combining country, rap, and soul alongside artists like Bailey Zimmerman, Ella Langley, Jelly Roll, Luke Combs, and Shaboozey. Earlier this year, he also represented 600 Entertainment on the collaborative project 6WA.

With Better Over Time, BigXthaPlug appears ready to show exactly how much that journey has shaped him.
