Jaz Vernon transforms one difficult relationship question into a soothing and intoxicating ambient R&B experience.

When R&B is done right, it is the best genre in the world, and it is not even close. Jaz Vernon does R&B right. His latest single, “Pink Suede,” is easily one of the smoothest tracks I have heard from the genre this year.

The production has a relaxing tempo, warm vibes, and atmospheric touches that make the track feel damn near therapeutic. Nothing gets in the way of Jaz’s voice, which is important because his performance deserves plenty of room to breathe.

Jaz delivers some insanely good melodies throughout the track. At times, his vocals sound smooth and controlled; at others, he sounds passionate, vulnerable, and completely caught up in the moment.

Lyrically, he speaks to someone he is willing to give everything she wants. However, he eventually asks the question that matters: What exactly can she do for him? It is a fair question, especially when one person feels like they are bringing everything to the table.
