BLACKSUMMER delivers a blast from the past with his latest single, “Luv U Better.” For R&B lovers like me, many elements will sound instantly familiar.
“Luv U Better” finds BLACKSUMMER reassuring a woman that he is completely invested in their connection. He is prepared to prove his intentions, even though others have already warned her about him. According to BLACKSUMMER, those voices do not matter because he knows he is the real deal.
The track features smooth R&B production with a nice bounce, crisp snaps, and a sensual atmosphere. On the real, I can easily imagine this s**t playing during a relaxing day by the pool with someone you genuinely enjoy.
BLACKSUMMER sounds excellent throughout the track. His vocals are passionate and refined, but he also brings enough urgency to make his promises feel serious. The melodies flow naturally, and the chorus immediately establishes itself as the record’s strongest weapon.
“Luv U Better” is smooth, romantic, and unapologetically nostalgic, offering the kind of familiar R&B experience that remains easy to revisit.
