Cardi B puts belt-to-ass here.
Anytime Cardi B releases new music, it feels like a blessing. She does not exactly flood the market with albums, so every record carries extra excitement. For the upcoming GTA VI: The Album project, Cardi contributes a new track called “Don’t Chart.”
The production sounds restless from the beginning. It moves between sly moments, heavy bass, sparse pockets, and party-ready elements. The beat takes cues from several eras of hip-hop, giving Cardi enough room to experiment while remaining in control.
Lyrically, she does what listeners expect her to do: talk her s**t. Cardi celebrates her baddie status, calls out her haters, and reminds everybody that she is far more calculated than people assume. Her delivery brings plenty of aggression, but the flows are what caught my attention. She plays with old-school hip-hop patterns, switches her cadence smoothly, and rides every section of the instrumental with confidence.
I am curious to see how this track fits inside GTA VI (Look at me pretending I am going to play it—the last video game I touched was probably Madden 2013).
