I fw Yoku999.
Wyoming, stand the hell up until your feet start hurting! Yoku999 is emerging as one of the hottest rappers from the state, and “heavenly” gives listeners another reason to pay attention.
The track runs on a hazy, rugged instrumental with these cool oracle-like elements. It sounds like the kind of production vintage A$AP Rocky would have destroyed during his cloud-rap era.
Yoku999 uses the backdrop to rap about making it out of the mud, taking women who are not his, and remaining focused on his paper. His Cardi-esque flow stands out immediately, bringing extra bounce and personality to the performance. Meanwhile, he maintains a cool confidence that makes every flex sound natural. He knows he is the s**t.
That willingness to experiment makes sense considering Yoku999’s background. The Wyoming artist began producing music on his phone in 2021 using video-editing apps, drawing inspiration from Scarlxrd, XXXTENTACION, Sickboyrari, klmhonos, and others.
Even his name reflects his mindset: Yoku999 represents completion, the ending of one major life cycle, and the beginning of something new. “heavenly” sounds like an artist embracing that change without losing his hunger.
Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
