Doechii Drops “BOMBS” in Her Latest Swamp Session

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Doechii is still scorchin’ hot in the streets.

Doechii’s next move doesn’t have to be her best move, but I do think it has to be damn good. The world is looking at her with eyes so wide open they’re starting to dry out. Her latest track, “BOMBS,” tells me she’s unscathed by the pressure. If anything, she sounds like she’s having fun making everybody else keep up.

In the track, which features a glitchy, explosive, chaotic instrumental that almost gives me the vibes of character selection music on a fighting game, she talks about her bills being paid, doing extravagant things that her peers simply aren’t doing, and having a label situation that works perfectly for her. Basically, she’s letting you know that things are looking pretty good on her side, regardless of whatever conversation is happening outside. If you are a fan of hers, you will enjoy how she plows through the track using erratic flows but still keeps that somewhat unbothered energy.

I don’t know what this single means for the long run, but for right now, it reminds you that Doechii still has the juice.
