Mang always comes through with the emotions.
Mang returns with a new single called “Closer,” and two things still stand out about him: his work ethic and his willingness to spill his feelings on a track. Aspiring artists could learn from the first one. As for the second, that’s something real men do, so I have no complaints.
In “Closer,” Mang explains that material things don’t matter much when that one special person isn’t beside him. She makes him feel alive, and the things money can buy don’t offer the same comfort. Somebody get this man to his chick before he decides his shopping history was a mistake.
What I love about the track is the spellbinding instrumental. It pulls you in and keeps you glued, giving his emotions a place to settle. Mang delivers a drowsy but passionate vocal performance that grows more addictive as the song moves along. He doesn’t have to force the feeling; you can hear how much that connection means to him.
All in all, “Closer” gets stuck in your head with very little effort. The production catches your attention, and Mang’s honest words keep it there. I’m rocking with the way he makes something this intimate feel so easy to replay.
