Gunna’s latest debut brings a major career milestone as he expands his work through SB THE LABEL.
Gunna just hit a chart milestone that deserves a little more attention than the debut position alone. According to the update shared, “Pop It” enters the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 55, becoming his 100th song to appear on the chart.
He’s now one of only 25 artists to reach 100 entries in Hot 100 history. Somebody get this man a loyalty card. He has clearly been checking in regularly.
The best part about this milestone is remembering how many people thought Gunna was finished after the snitching allegations tied to the YSL case. Instead of spending all his energy answering everybody, he got in shape and got to work. We ended up with a Gift & a Curse, One of Wun, and The Last Wun. That’s a pretty strong response.
The timing adds another layer. “Pop It” dropped October 9 as he launched SB THE LABEL in partnership with Atlantic Music Group. The imprint includes Nechie, Casper Bluff, and Dracc, giving him a platform to support other artists while continuing his own releases.
That makes this a moment involving both his past accomplishments and his next steps. He’s celebrating a major total while taking on more responsibility beyond his own music.
For now, “Pop It” has its debut and Gunna has his milestone. Let’s see what the next hundred look like.
