The Ardyst crafts a captivating R&B gem about mutual desire, private intimacy, and turning romantic fantasies into a lasting connection.
I think The Ardyst is a special artist (What amazing writing by me). Calling yourself The Ardyst comes with expectations, and thankfully, he gives you reasons to believe it. “Summer Fling” caught my attention with its smooth sound and gorgeous vocals. Now, he keeps things going with “Mine.”
This time around, the backdrop is more upbeat and knocks harder, giving his performance a more dynamic setting. Vocally, though, his approach remains passionate, polished, and highly intoxicating. He knows how to pull you into the feeling of a song, and the production gives him room to do exactly that.
Lyrically, “Mine” explores mutual desire, private intimacy, and ride-or-die devotion. He’s done imagining what the connection could be and wants to experience it. It’s appealing to hear someone express that desire without sounding emotionally checked out. The Ardyst makes it clear he’s invested.
All in all, the chorus stays with you, the lyrics carry feeling, and the atmosphere is beautiful. This is another strong reminder that he knows how to make romance sound worth putting your phone down for.

Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
