Ye’s Houston Concert Draws Reported 80,210 Fans, Claims U.S. Rap Attendance Record

Ye turned Halloween in Houston into a massive stadium event. His October 31 concert at Reliant Stadium drew a reported 80,210 fans, with the venue claiming a U.S. stadium rap concert attendance record, according to reporting cited by Photo News.

The nearly three-hour performance combined songs from Bully with records spanning his career. Ye performed atop an Earth-like spherical stage, surrounded by projected visuals, lasers, and pyrotechnics. Playboi Carti and North West also appeared during the show. Drake and Travis Scott were amongst the many star-studded guests.

Personally, I think the turnout speaks to the lasting demand for his catalog. Different generations have their own favorite Ye era, and a performance like this gives those audiences somewhere to meet. Hearing those records alongside thousands of other fans is a different experience from revisiting them through headphones.

Houston showed up in a major way. That’s a hell of a Halloween crowd.
