Kodak Black Brings His Signature Flow to “These Streets”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Kodak Black is a scary-ass dude. Why does he keep dropping s**t on Halloweens?

I don’t care what y’all think: Kodak Black is nice as f**k. When he takes rapping seriously, I think he’s one of the best to ever do it. The problem is that he doesn’t always sound interested in doing it. His Halloween release, “These Streets,” reminds you what happens when he clocks in.

The production gives Kodak exactly the kind of backdrop he needs. It’s both hard-hitting and spooky as hell, leaving enough room for his distinctive delivery to carry the track. Hey man, when you give Satan some oil to cook with, you might get some good-ass pasta.

Kodak sounds comfortable from the jump, floating over the instrumental with that recognizable relentless flow. The performance feels natural, and that ease is a major part of the appeal. As for the lyrics, he talks about handing out more belts than Tommy Hilfiger.

This is how I want you to drive every time, Kodak.
