A dreamy R&B and soca blend that pairs hypnotic island vibes with passionate, sly vocals.
I have some advice: if your savings account allows it, take that much-needed island vacation. If it doesn’t, set the mood and play “BODY” by Jenuel. It’ll give you the vacation vibes without making you pay extra to bring a suitcase.
The production is amazing. It combines an outstanding riddim with hypnotic island energy and gorgeous synths, creating an atmosphere that feels dreamy as hell. There’s movement in the rhythm, but everything still sounds smooth enough to sink into. The R&B and soca combination works beautifully.
Jenuel matches that backdrop with passionate vocals, a little slyness, and an infectious melody. His delivery keeps the attraction front and center without disturbing the relaxed atmosphere, while the chorus is memorable enough to follow you around afterward.
Lyrically, he encounters someone whose body has him completely captivated, bringing out a possessive streak as the attraction takes over. His voice also reminds me of a soulful XXXTENTACION here, which gives the track another interesting quality.
More than anything, “BODY” is addictive. The riddim, vocals, and chorus make pressing replay feel almost automatic.
