KAI ONYX and Yogi Barry bring substance and effortless flows to YEAROFJORDN’s cold production.
YEAROFJORDN is back with “BLEU NOTES,” featuring KAI ONYX and Yogi Barry. If you aren’t familiar with YOJ’s game, he crafts high-quality, hard-hitting, unfiltered hip-hop production and gives tough MCs room to work. This track follows that formula beautifully.
The production features chilling piano notes that immediately grab your attention, paired with a knock that hits your speakers like punches to the stomach. The atmosphere is cold, but there’s plenty of movement underneath it.
Thankfully, KAI ONYX and Yogi Barry sound fully equipped for the assignment. The Rochester MCs deliver a simple but extremely catchy chorus, effortless flows, and thoughtful bars. They reflect on their come-ups, the lessons they learned along the way, and the indulgences that make life easier to stomach.
“BLEU NOTES” is the second single from their forthcoming album, Cloudy Above Kodak, arriving November 16 and fully produced by YEAROFJORDN.
