Joey Badasss – Love is Only A Feeling (Review & Stream)

Fresh off of the release of my favorite album this year (All Amerikkkan Badass), Joey returns to give us some more heat in the form of this soothing rap track.

I feel like Joey really found his sound on his last album, so it’s only right that he continues on that whole smooth rap path. On this song, Joey mesmerizes over some dime piece, glowing like he’s probably never glowed before. He’s careful with his words, as he does his best in trying to paint the perfect thug inspired love canvas.

On the chorus, you get this chilling sample from  Sade that perfectly fits the direction of the song. Statik Selektah produced the beat, and he did a good job of making something that sounds very chill.

Not the return I would’ve expected from Joey, but it’ll do!

OVERALL RATING (4/5)
