Christina Aguilera – Accelerate (Ft. Ty Dolla $ign & 2 Chainz) (Review & Stream)

It looks like Kanye stepped away from his Twitter antics to help Christina make a come back!

Since I was a kid, I always thought Christina Aguilera had a phenomenal voice. I always felt like she was able to take her vocals to that next level of greatness when she sang, making whatever song she was on that much better. Unfortunately, we needed every inch of vintage Christina for this song, because as a whole, “Accelerate” is one big struggle plate. It’s produced by Kanye, and just like his mind lately, it is erratic. While Christina tries to do her thing by delivering these bold and feisty lyrics, Ty keeps interrupting her in the background with these pretty bad ad-libs, something that puzzles me. Once Chainz part drops, you’ll enjoy the track a little more, as it turns both bad ass and a lot more conventional. I guess the nonsense you had to put up with in the beginning is worth it.

As foolish as he has sounded on Twitter these last couple of days, I can’t do without Kanye’s music in my life.
