Lil Tecca is Back to Save the Summer with “OWA OWA”

Lil Tecca samples the hot 1979 single “Video Killed The Radio Star” and makes it even hotter.

Lil Tecca, the rapper, singer, and songwriter who burst onto the scene in 2019, continues to build on his signature sound with his latest release, “OWA OWA.” Known for his catchy hooks, youthful charisma, and ability to merge trap and pop-rap seamlessly, Tecca once again delivers a track that resonates with both energy and emotion.

From the start of his career with the breakout project We Love You Tecca, Tecca carved out a lane of his own in modern hip-hop—one that appeals especially to a younger generation. That same spirit is alive and well in “OWA OWA,” a song that showcases his growth as an artist.

Lyrically, Tecca touches on themes of self-worth and reflection, calling out someone who clearly doesn’t deserve his time or presence. At one point, he even suggests that if they were in his shoes, they wouldn’t even want to be with themselves. Despite the message, the song maintains a fun, upbeat energy, driven by a smooth, addictive melody and the playful chant of “OWA OWA” echoing in the background.

It’s the kind of track that makes you think while still making you want to nod your head or dance in your room. Tecca continues to prove he can make music that’s not only catchy but emotionally layered.
