24 Dollas – Mind Games (Ft. Roy Woods) (Review & Stream)

24hrs and Ty Dolla $ign make up ’24 Dollas’. I would’ve preferred they named themselves Ty 24 Dolla $igns, but beggars can’t be choosers.

I don’t know about this song, guys. It’s not bad, but it’s also not that creative. Ty starts it off, and he uses his lazy approach on the track, continuously saying “mind games” on the hook and literally making up words in the midst of a very meaningless verse.

As for 24hrs, I didn’t expect his verse to be good, and he didn’t disappoint.  Don’t get me wrong, I love his brash words and cocky demeanor throughout, but I think he needs to put that whole ‘repeating his tightest line’ stuff to bed.

Roy Woods probably tries the hardest on this song, and because of this, his part sounds out of place.

If you ask me, this track just seems all over the place, and I don’t like my R&B tracks sounding all over the place. (It’s still catchy as s**t, though)

OVERALL RATING (3.5/5)
