Chicago rap is in a really good place right now.
Mick Jenkins and Saba are both coming off of very good album releases. Today, the two decided to unite, gifting us with this feel-good track that has both of them giving thanks to the people around them and their own selves for making it out the hood to become successful individuals. I love the positive energy the song gives off throughout, the spirited hook by Xavier Omär, and most importantly, the complicated flows both of our rappers use on their respective verses.
Have you had a smile from ear to ear listening to a rap song in a while?
