The Jolly Pops Deliver In Timeless-Sounding “I Want A Puppy”

You know what they say: If you want something, go into the booth and make a rock song about getting it.

The Jolly Pops are a heartwarming band that caters their music to kids of all ages. However, in “I Want A Puppy,” they get rebellious, gifting us with a high-octane tune that symbolizes an individual throwing themselves on the floor and kicking and screaming until they get what they want.

Though “I Want A Puppy” is powered by a pretty wholesome topic, it surely doesn’t lack in ferociousness. Not only does the song feature an instrumental that is hard-hitting (Kudos to the drummer and guitarist for their exhilarating performances on the song) and vocals that are boisterous, but it also features gaudy lyrics that are sure to get even kitty lovers out of their seats. All in all, I loved every second of it — so much so that I am on my way to the dog shelter right now!

You know what makes “I Want A Puppy” even sweeter? The music video to it features a couple of dogs from the Second Hand Hounds program. Each one you see is either fostered up or up for adoption. What a great gesture the band was able to do here!
