E-Squared are a husband and wife duo that usually dabbles in urban, hip-hop, r&b and pop when they make music. In “Stares,” the tandem elevates to great measures, gifting us with four tracks full of tough bars, infectious melodies and bossed up sentiments. Personally, what I love about the EP is that it features great chemistry between both musicians (Ekko and Essentials), as they finish each other’s bars, complete each other’s thoughts, and gasses each other up when they are low in energy (Awww, Hercules, Hercules!). If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is.
