Jessie Reyez Tackles Long Distance Relationships In “Far Away”

Have I told you guys how much I love Jessie Reyez?

Jessie Reyez is a fantastic singer, but in my opinion, what makes her extra special is her ability to treat listeners to the real whenever she hops on the mic. In “Far Away,” her latest single, Jessie does exactly what I just mentioned, blessing us with a powerful gem that directly tackles North America’s issues with immigration, long distance relationships, and the idea that love can trump both (No pun intended). As a fan of music, I think you’ll love the song for its rawness and Jessie’s pecuiliar vocals, but as a human being, I think you’ll love the song for its absolute realness.

Personally, I believe everyone should experience a long distance relationship at least once in their lives (To see how unfair that s**t really is).
