Whether Christmas is your least favorite holiday or your favorite holiday, I think we can all agree that Christmas songs are one of the best things that we get from the season. Today, we give you our list of the top 5 Christmas songs in order. If there are any songs you think should be on the list, leave a comment below!

5. BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE – JOHNNY MERCER & MARGARET WHITING

The charm about Baby It’s Cold Outside is the chemistry you get between Johnny Mercer and Margaret Whiting in the song. The sweet and quippy back and forth they gift us with throughout will remind you of the cute times you try to get a friend or a loved one to stay with you.

Even though Baby It’s Cold Outside is probably not the first Christmas song that you would think of, the balance between Johnny’s sultry voice and Margaret’s soft voice will pull you in and never let you go.

4. WHITE CHRISTMAS – BING CROSBY

White Christmas is one of those songs that is easily forgotten about, but every time it comes on, it’s guaranteed that you are going to be singing along to it.

In “White Christmas,” Bing Crosby sings his heart out and leaves nothing on the table. By the time the song is over, it’s going to have you wishing that on Christmas day there will be a nice layer of snow outside.

3. MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR – ANDY WILLIAMS

Most Wonderful Time of the Year is third on this list because it represents what the season is all about, to me. The magic of the Christmas season is the warm feeling you get in your heart, the time to decompress and take a break; this song embodies all of those feelings.

2. SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN’ TO TOWN – JACKSON 5

The Jackson 5 has numerous classics and hits that will be played for years to come; one of them is their version of Santa Claus is comin’ to Town

Michael’s voice in “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” has the power to uplift the saddest of people. His high, yet soulful voice cannot be duplicated by anybody; that is what makes the song so special. It should definitely be on everyone’s Christmas playlist.

1. SANTA BABY – EARTHA KITT

Without a doubt, the best Christmas song is Santa Baby. There are a bunch of different renditions of the song, but the original sung by Eartha Kitt will always have a special place in my heart. The way her sweet voice opens up the song will make you want to snuggle on the couch with a loved one and a hot cup of cocoa watching a Christmas movie as snow falls in the background. A lot of singers add some extra umpf to Santa Baby when they decide to flip it, but the way Eartha Kitt lets the notes fall off of the tip of her mouth is unparalleled. Her velvet voice will always put you in the Christmas spirit.
