5. LEAVE THIS TEAM
To me, how an album opens up is key; Leave This Team opens up Energy: On the Voyage Through Life fantastically!
Leave This Team lets you know that you are in for some music that is pretty unique. On the track, not only do you get an instrumental that is futuristic, but you also get a vocal performance that is both mind-blowing and hypnotizing. I don’t know about you, but I strapped my seat belt on after I listened to this track.
4. JUST DO IT
The way Leave This Team morphs into Just Do It is smooth!
Just Do It is serene but also has this level of edginess to it that is hard to ignore. To be more specific, the instrumental attached to the song features easygoing vibes, that, at times, turns into gritty vibes you would hear on a hip-hop song.
I love the contributions you get from Per Defalva in Just Do It! He’s demanding, but at the same time, comforting. To me, the combination of the two approaches makes the idea of reaching dreams feel obtainable and not too difficult.
3. ON MY OWN
On My Own has it all — Latin rock feels, cinematic vibes, and a level of rebelliousness that is satisfying! As the song scurries by with its fast tempo and daring singing, being a listener, you should sit back and enjoy the entertainingly rocky rollercoaster ride.
2. THE GAME
Much like On My Own, The Game has a helluva tempo attached to it. The Game also features vibes that are epic, moments of skittishness, and lyrics that are touching. In my opinion, Per Defalva did a fantastic job of showing the world his vulnerable side every step of the song, as, throughout, he comes across as disheveled and inebriated off of conflict.
1. ETERNAL PULSE
I absolutely love Eternal Pulse! For starters, I love the track’s energy and electronic vibes; it practically makes me want to dance all night. Secondly, I love the infectious melody, spellbinding crooning, and sinisterly defiant lyrics we get from Per on the track. To make a long story short, in Eternal Pulse, Per has listeners on a string.

OVERALL RATING
(B+)
Energy: On the Voyage Through Life is quite the musical experience. Matter of fact, if you are not mesmerized by the end of it, you must not internalize music properly.
The first thing that will stick out to you about Energy: On the Voyage Through Life is the production. From the moment you press play on the album, you are greeted with instrumentals that are engulfing, encapsulating, organic, and entrenching. Not only does Per find opportunities to blow your mind using gentle piano notes and riveting guitar play throughout the project, but he also finds a way to combine worlds that are sunny and dark almost seamlessly. Kudos must go to Andreas Hedberg for his engineering and production on this album.
The second thing that will stick out to you about Energy: On the Voyage Through Life is the powerful subject-matters Per tackles on the album. Though he keeps his words short on songs, Per finds ways to motivate, inspire, and even boil up listeners. By the end of the album, you will feel a level of adrenaline that is pretty powerful (You’ll also love how fearlessly Per sings throughout the album. Throughout, he focuses mainly on pure passion than structure).
The last thing that will stick out to you about Energy: On the Voyage Through Life is how each track practically feeds off of one another. Personally, I recommend that you start this album from the intro and listen to it straight through (If you press skip, I’ll slap your hand!). You’ll love how tracks phase-in, how tracks phase-out, how emotions shift, and even how feelings get moved onto other tracks. Genius.
If you are looking for music that you can’t help but be enamored by, I think Energy: On The Voyage Through Life is where you need to stop looking.
BTW, Energy: On The Voyage Through Life is the sixth album of Per’s On The Voyage Through Life Series.
