High Life has an 80s feel to it. Not only is the instrumental attached to the song something I could see a young Paula Abdul singing over, but the style Wendy sings with also screams out vintage funk, to me. Whatever the case may be, High Life is rebellious in nature but also festive, colorful, and replenishing.
