Truth Ali really is the truth, folks!
In this post, I’m only going to highlight one of Truth Ali’s tracks called “You Wasn’t There”; however, I highly recommend that you listen to his new album titled In Vivo. On it, Ali spits bars that are real as s**t, he utilizes flows that are impregnable and spazzes on beats like a madman.
”You Wasn’t There” sounds like Truth Ali’s theme song. Not only do you get an instrumental on the track that is as powerful as it gets, but you also get a melodic hook, dynamic flows, and pretty deep lyrics (Truth talks vividly about his rough come-up and how it molded him into the man that he is now in the song).
Everyone can relate to overcoming major odds in some kind of way, right? In “You Wasn’t There,” Truth Ali tells us how he was able to do it ferociously (Respect, brother).
