During these trying times, Lecrae’s music is much needed.
I’m someone who thinks LeCrae is an amazing rapper who just happens to take his faith seriously. Not only is he an effective lyricist, but he is also great at crafting hits. To me, “Set Me Free” is his latest lyrical-driven hit.
While featured guest YK Osiris blesses “Set Me Free” with a hook that is both soulful and powerful, LeCrae gifts us with verses that are GOD-fearing, blunt, and inspirational. When you combine both of their contributions, what you end up getting is a banger that will satisfy both your trap and holy side.
This song makes me want to go to church, but I can’t… (That’s the first time I’ve ever said that in my life)
