I needed a song like “MMA” in my boring-ass life!
So who is Voodoo Bloo? He is a fantastic songwriter, a fearless singer, and someone with a kick-ass nickname. Though the New Zealand native is fairly new to the music scene, on “MMA,” he comes across like someone who has been hammering out hits for years.
“MMA” is powered by an instrumental that features insane guitar-play and tumultuous drumming. Over it, Voodoo Bloo gifts us with a performance that is beyond stunning! Not only does he spaz out like a tiger that has been let out of its cage after a 9-5 shift on the song, but he also finds a way to gift us with a melody that is beyond infectious and lyrics that straddle the line between invigorating and intoxicating. If you are someone who always ends up in a bar with an asshole that thinks they are Superman when they are drunk, “MMA” should strike a chord with you.
