When in doubt, drop a deluxe.
Ye isn’t done with BULLY, not even close. Just when people thought the dust had settled on the polarizing project, he’s already teasing a deluxe version, and if you know anything about Ye, that likely means he’s going to do it bigger than Audi Crooks.
When BULLY first rolled out, critics weren’t exactly kind. Scores like a 3.4 from Pitchfork and a lukewarm C- from us made the reception pretty clear. Still, the numbers told a different story. The album performed well on the Billboard 200, while tracks like “ALL THE LOVE” and “FATHER” racked up impressive streaming numbers.
With features from Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Nine Vicious, and more, BULLY already had a strong foundation. Now the deluxe version raises the real question: What gets added?
If history repeats itself, this won’t just be extra songs. Ye is known for tweaking, reworking, and reshaping his music after release. Maybe he adds some more guests? Maybe he takes some guests away? Whatever the case, we will call off work when the deluxe drops.
