Spring has officially sprung.
The days are stretching out, the weather’s warming up, and flowers are finally starting to bloom again. Even the winter haters are stepping back outside, while anticipation builds for those summer album drops.
But let’s pause for a moment.
With Spring still in full swing, it feels like the perfect time to tap into the songs that truly capture that in-between season—when it’s not quite summer, but you can feel it coming.
These are the tracks that are setting the tone for my spring.
OUR TOP 5 TRACKS OF SPRING THIS YEAR
5. UNCANNY VALLEY – Melanie Martinez
Melanie Martinez dropped her new album HADES on March 27, 2026, and while the project as a whole delivers, “UNCANNY VALLEY” hits a little differently.
This isn’t your soft, pastel spring moment—this is outside energy. And by outside, I mean outside.
Even though summer gets name-dropped, the darker undertones here feel like spring break somewhere warm, where things get a little chaotic and maybe a little destructive.
There’s this wild blend of lust and rage that Melanie pulls off effortlessly. It’s the kind of track you scream along to in a hoodie now, knowing full well you’ll be trading it in for something much lighter soon. Either way, this one’s staying in rotation all season.
4. White Keys – Dominic Fike
When Dominic Fike re-released “White Keys” on February 27, 2026, it instantly became a daily listen for me.
There’s something about this track that feels like the exact moment winter finally lets go.
It brings me right back to my teenage years—waiting for that first warm day after the snow melts, just to be outside at the skate park again with friends. If you really sit with it, you can almost hear the season shift: the sunshine, the soft breeze, and the quiet promise of better days. It’s giving frayed hoodies, still-cold ice cream, not-quite sun-kissed skin, and late sunsets by the water where nobody’s actually getting in.
Perfect for chilly mornings and rainy evening drives, this is easily one of spring’s most replayable tracks.
3. Bloom Later – Jesse
Some songs age, and some songs just… exist in a season forever.
“Bloom Later,” released on Jesse Rutherford’s 2017 project &, falls firmly into that second category.
This track feels like the literal embodiment of spring. Every time it plays, it paints the same picture: late-spring weddings, reading under a weeping willow, and that distinct smell right before a thunderstorm rolls in. Lines like “Even when it rains, I need your little rays” and “Baby, I’m a lilac, and you are my sun, in every season I need you to come back,” lean all the way into that seasonal romance.
Years later, it still hits exactly the same—and honestly, that says everything.
2. Sideways – ZAYN
Let’s be real—ZAYN has one of the most underrated catalogs out there.
“Sideways,” released March 27, 2026, is another reminder of that, and it sets the tone for his upcoming album KONNAKOL.
This track feels like coming out of hibernation. It’s that first step back into nightlife, back into energy, back into motion. Not too cold, not too hot—just enough warmth to shift the vibe. There’s something moody, slightly mysterious, and undeniably sensual about it.
If this is any indication of what KONNAKOL will sound like, it might end up dominating my spring playlist.
1. Daydreaming – Harry Styles
Yes, we know Harry Styles just dropped KISSCO.
And yeah, there are definite, undeniable standouts on that project. But “Daydreaming” from Harry’s House still feels like the spring anthem.
There’s something about this song that just radiates warmth and whimsy. It’s light, a little eccentric, and completely comforting. It feels like partly cloudy skies, a soft breeze, and the kind of day where everything just feels easy.
This is the song you hum while outside gardening, the one playing on the drive to the park after school, the one that quietly defines the season without trying too hard. Simply put, it just feels like spring.
Spring always carries a certain kind of charm, no matter where you are—whether you’re still surrounded by frost or already stepping into warmer days. It’s that transition, that buildup, that makes it special.
Do these tracks match your spring vibe? What songs are you running back right now that aren’t quite summer yet?
