Dax Mpire & Styles P
OVERALL RATING (⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Dax Mpire is an artist, creator, and businessman from New York.
Dax Mpire started out as an artist, but when he started to learn more about the music business, he broadened his scope and became a businessman. In his career, Dax has opened up for artists like 50 Cent, Travis Scott, and Dej Loaf. In addition to making music, Mpire also directs videos and works in the hospitality industry. Mpire’s “Warriors Cry” single with Styles P premiered on radio stations in New York on July 2nd.
“Warriors Cry” is a soulful banger that tells a powerful story about the injustice and uncertainty that is going on in America right now. The first thing that will stand out to you about the song is that it is masterfully mixed; it includes transitions from a high falsetto singing voice to hard-hitting raps. At first, it might not seem like those two elements would go well together, but Mpire and Styles P find a way to make it work. As for lyrically, in their raps, Mpire and Styles cover the relationship between the cops and black citizens. Ultimately, the two rappers highlight an important point: Black people’s behavior towards the system and cops is a result of years of discrimination.
Once you listen to “Warriors Cry,” you will be convinced that Mpire is a highly skilled lyricist. I am personally excited to check out the rest of his songs!
