Davido and Lil Baby are both having impressive years. For this reason alone, it makes all of the sense in the world that they decided to unite for “So Crazy.”

“So Crazy” will make you want to ask GOD to run summer back. The song boasts an island instrumental, a catchy hook, infectious melodies, unique flows, and hood-romantic lyrics. As for the music video to the song, it features booty, booty, and more booty!

4. JOWO

“Jowo” is the most passionate, powerful, and touching song on A Better Time.

“Jowo” will make you finally purchase that engagement ring that you left in your Amazon cart for over three months. The song features a very soulful vocal performance, an emotional Afropop instrumental, and lyrics that will make you view your woman as the best thing since egusi soup with extra smoked turkey.

3. HOLY GROUND

DaVido and Nicki Minaj go toe to toe on “Holy Ground.”

By COB tomorrow, “Holy Ground” will be overplayed in clubs worldwide. The song boasts a colorful/uptempo Caribbean beat, raunchy lyrics, and fearless vocal performances. While DaVido comes across as a dude that doesn’t mind letting his woman take the lead in the bedroom on the song, Nicki Minaj sounds like someone that takes the lead and then some.

2. BIRTHDAY CAKE

DaVido, Nas, and Hitboy make quite the trio on “Birthday Cake.”

“Birthday Cake” is a smooth/old school hip-hop banger. Throughout the song, DaVido and Nas let the world know how thankful they are for their down-ass chicks.

I love hearing Nas on R&B joints like “Birthday Cake.” Something about his old-fashioned approach to love always puts a smile on my face.

Doesn’t this “Birthday Cake” song remind you of “You (Remix)” by Lloyd?

I can’t believe a song called “The Best” is actually the best song on A Better Time.

“The Best” is a vibrant, exhilarating, rip-roaring, and romantic song. Not only will you dance your ass off when it comes on, but you will also find the urge to hug your life partner tighter than ever.

The chemistry DaVido and Mayorkun show on this song is amazing (They literally sound like one)!

There isn’t a dull moment on A Better Time. Throughout the album, DaVido sings passionately, vibrantly, and boldly over high-octane Afropop, hip-hop, R&B, and pop instrumentals. He also keeps listeners on the edge of their seats by hitting us with lyrics that are relatable, edgy, and moving. A Better Time also boasts some impressive features (Chris Brown, Young Thug, Tiwa Savage, Nicky Minaj, Lil Baby, Ckay, MUGEEZ, Mayorkun, Nas, Bella Shmurda, Sauti Sol, and Hitboy all do their thing). All in all, I feel like A Better Time was put on this earth to make music fans forget about all of the bad s**t 2020 has had to offer.
